The mural is a vibrant pop of femininity and St. Augustine at the headquarters of a woman-owned and operated health and wellness company Pink Stork. Pink Stork was founded by a mother of six who after a near-death experience during her first pregnancy was inspired to help other women through their wellness and pregnancy journeys. The mural was created by a local artist and is full of feminine energy in addition to all of the things Amy loves about her community.
The mural was created out of gratitude for all of the events and people who impacted Pink Stork with special nods to the fort, cathedral, lighthouse, lions, and the pier. There are also nods to Amy’s family and experience including her husband’s Marine Corps symbols. The wings have an intricate dialogue between all of the corners of Amy’s life and are in that a self-portrait. She has said that she had faith she would survive her near-death experience and impact the lives of others. Her company and her mural are able to touch so many lives whether it is life-saving or simply sparking joy depending on the person’s individual experience.
