Weathering the Storm: Political Cartoons From the Early 20th Century

The St. Augustine Historical Society’s new exhibit is designed to expose Floridians to political cartoons printed in newspapers from the past century and their impact on Florida’s voting issues and voting rights. The exhibit, alongside the Fall Speaker Series, will address free and fair voting from a historical perspective, providing a unique look at long-standing struggles within the community and nation. With more than 450 years of existence, St. Augustine’s history tells one of the nation’s most detailed stories of ever-changing enfranchisement.
