Explore the creativity of local artists who have transformed 14 historic fireplace mantels at the circa 1798 Ximenez-Fatio House Museum, located at 20 Aviles Street in historic St. Augustine, Florida. This special art exhibition is part of the annual Nights of Lights holiday season.

This year’s Nights of Lights “Art and History” Exhibition celebrates the upcoming Semi-Quincentennial (250th anniversary) of the American Revolution. Presented in partnership with the St. Augustine Art Association, the exhibition invites artists to reflect on Florida’s unique and often overlooked role in the founding of the United States. Although Florida did not officially participate in the War for Independence, its people, cultures, and events had a significant impact on the revolution’s outcome.

This exhibition brings those often-overlooked stories to light — through art.
