Joe Schauer

Joe’s solo act is molded by the troubadours of the Seventies including Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffet, John Prine, and Gordon Lightfoot etc. His Solo Act has developed and matured over the course of 28 years. The fact that he has played some of these songs thousands of times, for nearly 30 years, means he loves what he does.

Some additional artists that inspire him include John Denver, Dave Matthews, The Stones, The Dead, The Guess Who, Chicago, the Smithereens, Barenaked Ladies etc. He sells memories and beer. He can steer a show several ways depending on the venue and pulse of the audience. He plays 95% of his gigs without a songbook/tablet or setlist and rather focus on the performance.
